TOPIC: Upgrade Problems

Upgrade Problems 2 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 1
Hi Michael,

What is the proper way to upgrade?

When I upgrade I uninstall the previous version, install the new version, but I lose my uploaded tracks (The upload folder is deleted during uninstall). When I restore these tracks into the upload folder I can then view them again, but I cannot see the graphs.

Help I got about 20 Tracks that I don't want to redo.

Thats why i write on the download page "Please read the documentation for update informations!". Your are the second one with the problem, but he get no problems with copy the files back.

Normaly you first save your upload folder. Then you deinstall and install the extension. Then you copy all the files back. If you can see the tracks, you normaly also can see the graphs, cause if the map function can`t read from the files, the graph function can not also. Maybe there is something else wrong. I have to take a look on your site.

Hmm, i can see them with FF, IE8 and Opera. All the javascript code which generates the graphs is correct, don't know where your problem is.

I tell you computers can make to go slowly mad

I bypassed my firewall/proxy and the graphs became visible. Really wierd because when I downgraded to 0.40 I could see them using the firewall/proxy, and when I upgraded they disappeared again. Squid can do funny things I tell you.
