Doubt this would happen, but a upload for videos would be nice, like the pictures feature. Could use FFMPEG and FLVTool2 to encode and use a flash player like flowplayer to view.

I use jce editor in joomla, and that editor is also used in frontend. So in the description i can use the button "insert media" and put the url from a youtube video for example. The video is displayed in the description!

Unfortunately i haven't managed to upload a screenshot to show you what exactly i mean...

But, anyway, i think if you use a better editor you will do it.

Another idea, if you don't want to change your editor:

In the description press the button "html" and paste the below code:

The only you have to change is the url source which is the url of the youtube video.
It works. Look at my track in that site's demo called maroco!

Good thinking niki_kar, maybe all we need is a link to the video. I am using Jomsocial and that could do the encoding and maybe all need to is link the encoded video to joomGPStracks, or link from another source like youtube etc.
