There is an error if you try to upload GPS files with uppercase extensions. I've used this code to solve the problem:

$ext = strtolower(JFile::getExt($file)); instead of $ext = JFile::getExt($file);

This appears in controllers\traks.php (line 35) and helpers\gpsClass.php (line 439)
